1 Working from the spool, use chain-nose pliers to make a 90° bend 2¾" (7 cm) from the end of the wire (Fig. 1).

2 Use the middle of the round-nose pliers to create a wrapped loop, wrapping the short wire 4 to 6 times around the neck (Fig. 2). Trim the wire and tuck in the end with chain-nose pliers.

3 Measure 3½" (9 cm) from the wrap and cut the wire from the spool.

4 Using chain-nose pliers, make a 90° bend on the same plane as the loop, just above the wrap (Fig. 3). Repeat Step 2, wrapping neatly over the first coil (Fig. 4). Trim the wire and tuck in the end.
